Blog Action Day
Blog Action Day is an annual worldwide event where bloggers write about a single topic on October 15 or 16th of every year. The event commenced in 2007 on the inaugural topic of the environment. Successive years have focused on poverty in 2008 and climate change in 2009. Blog Action Day was founded by three bloggers Collis Ta'eed, Cyan Ta'eed and Leo Babauta in 2007. The inaugural theme chosen was the environment. The event was hosted by Envato. 23,327 blog posts were published by 20,603 participating blogs including 19 of the Technorati Top 100 blogs at the time.〔(2007 Blog Action Day )〕
